Chemical Processing

Surface finishing and conversion processes that rely on controlled chemical reactions in baths or solutions. Coating performance depends on precise control of bath chemistry, components cleanliness and key  process parameters such as time, current, temperature etc.. Robust process control and periodic performance testing are essential to ensure consistent quality.

ElectroplatingZinc, Zinc-Nickel, Cadmium, Hard Chrome, Copper, Silver, Electrolytic Nickel, Electroless Nickel & Tin plating, Low Hydrogen Embrittlement Plating (Cad & Zn-Ni).

Anodizing: Sulphuric Acid, Chromic Acid, Boric Sulphuric Acid & Hard Coat Anodizing, Oxalic-Sulphuric Acid & Phosphoric Acid Anodizing.

Conversion Coating: Chemical Conversion Coating, Zinc & Manganese Phosphating, Passivation, Electro Polishing & Black Oxide Coating (Blackening).

Surface Preparation: Pre-cleaning of mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and copper base alloys to prepare for surface finishing processes. Mechanical Cleaning for Surface improvement by Dry & Wet grit blasting, shot blasting, Shot Peening, barreling, and tumbling.

Heat Treatment

Thermal processes used to modify microstructure and mechanical properties of metals. Furnace control and pyrometry directly determine hardness, strength and toughness.

Stress Relieving, Hydrogen De-Embrittlement Relief, Precipitation Hardening (Ageing), Hardening / Austenitizing of steel, Tempering, solution treatment and ageing of metallic alloys to achieve specified properties. Pyrometry requirements as per AMS 2750.

NDT (Coming Soon)

Inspection methods that detect flaws without damaging the part. System performance and operator competence must be qualified and routinely demonstrated.

Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI). Electrical Conductivity Testing, Ultrasonic Testing (UT) – Immersion, Acid Etch Inspection (AEI) –titanium and nickel base alloys. Nital / Temper Etch Inspection

Composites

Fibre-reinforced polymer and bonded structures where cure conditions, fibre orientation and adhesive control govern strength, stiffness and damage tolerance.

Prepreg, Lay-Up, Resin Film Infusion, Core Processing, Vacuum Resin Transfer Molding (VRTM), Autoclave Curing, NC Ply Cutting etc.
